Santa Baby

Visiting Santa was fun. Of course, H didn't really care...but didn't cry. We went to the train show at J's aunt's church and were first in line for Santa when he arrived. The best part was when he pulled Santa's beard. Poor guy. Eventually I'll get the video up here...but here are some pics until then.

Look at the grip on the beard

After freeing Santa's facial hair, we got a traditional Santa lap shot.

The whole family with Santa.

Stockings were hung by the chimney with care

H's stocking is hung by the chimney with care...all 3 feet of it. I fell in love with the Jumbo Snowman stocking as soon as I got my Pottery Barn catalog in the mail. So of course Hudson got it! I figure if you get a good one, you really only need one stocking for life. However, how many children fit in their stocking?

Giggles

I have many other posts that should come before this one...seeing Santa, baby dedication at church, Christmas parties, and such. But this just had to be posted and could be done quickly. I was wrapping Christmas gifts this evening and H was a little cranky. He only had a 15 minute nap in the nursery at church this morning and an 1 hour nap this afternoon. Needless to say, he was exhausted. Well as he was starting to fuss, I was trying to finish up a couple more larger gifts. I decided to bop him and his "froggy jumper" with an empty wrapping paper tube. He started laughing and laughing at it. I grabbed the flip video and got a little on tape. He was laughing more before I started recording...but it is great none the less!

H has made so many great strides these past few weeks! I am really enjoying recording it all in his Baby Calendar.

Here are just a few great pictures of him lately.

Black Friday...$$$

For the first time ever, I didn't have but a couple items to get on Black Friday. However, I still had MANY stores picked out to hit on my annual day of shopping. I didn't plan on waking up until 7:00 or so, but H decided I needed an early start and woke me up at 5:20. After feeding him, I figured I might as well head out. I put him back in bed and left my two boys fast asleep as I went out to battle the crazies. They were just waking up when I returned 6 stores later. Target was a mad house, but I was in and out in 20 my first visit of the day. Here are a few pics of H on his first Black Friday.
Here is H chilling in his first of MANY Christmas shirts.
We were setting out to pick up the 50" and camcorder...and H wasn't tired of shopping yet.

And then it was time for bed...and he was over it all.

Thankful for so many things

This past weekend was H's first Thanksgiving! He even sat in a Bumbo seat at the table with everyone. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of that part. First we headed to J's aunt's house for lunch. We had fun visiting with family briefly and then headed home to cook dinner. We had a great dinner and I finally got to check out the ads after dinner! Between J and Whit, we made 4 "doorbuster" purchases online of Thursday and were able to pick them up in the stores on Friday. No camping for us...but we still have the 50". After dinner, J built us a fire. Yes, even though it was 60 something degrees outside.

Here are a few snapshots from the day...because let's be honest, that is why you have pulled up the blog! :)

H loved his Santa hat. He didn't even care that it was Thanksgiving.
A family shot by J's fire.

H showing off his standing up skills.Good thing he likes Christmas musical thingies. I have plenty!

This how H felt of me picking out all the stores to hit the next day.
And he was spent from such a long day with all the excitement!
