A Weekend Filled With Sports

The Jarrett family had a very busy spectating weekend! Friday night, we headed to the Atlantic Shores football game with GiGi and Grandchop. It wasn't too chilly and we enjoyed socializing. We cheered Shores to a victory, which was exciting. H, however, was not so into the game. He slept through most of it...not that we expected any different.

Here H is clapping after spelling his name. We were practicing clapping and cheering "YAY." He likes it best when it follows his name.

Here is how interested he was in the game. Snuggled up in his monkey winter coat (which is very big on him since it is 3-6 months) all warm and cozy leads to sleep.

On Saturday night we headed to the ODU basketball game. It was the first of many, since we have season tickets each year. Once again H wasn't all that entertained. He was fussy though! After a shopping trip to the mall in the morning (which he slept through), we went to my friend and co worker's baby shower. H was the perfect baby, happy and smiling the entire time. He was awake from 12:00-7:45...which led to quite a fussy and cranky 1st half.

School with Mom

Monday and Tuesday this past week were teacher work days at school. On Tuesday, I decided to give Whit a chance to sleep in and go and stand in line (for two hours) to vote by taking H to work with me. Haylea, one of my students and my good friend Karen's daughter, came to school with her mom to help me out. She had such a blast taking care of H and using his carrier, stroller and swing for her baby doll too. Here are a few pictures of H's first full day at school. Haylea was such a help!

Catching Smiles

So even though H has been smiling TONS, we hardly get any on camera. Now I have evidence of why. The other night while H and I were singing and talking, H was smiling nonstop. J started taking pictures from a distance to catch the breath-taking smiles. (Here is what he caught.)

When he showed me these photos, I wanted to get a better angle. So I took the camera. For sure I could get great shot since he was in my lap! WRONG! Here is what he did as soon as I had the camera.

So I held the camera away and took many "blind" pictures. After several shots of just his forehead, or his feet, or of everyhing in the room but him...I got a couple more.

He is such a HAPPY baby!

Halloween

On Sunday our church had Hallelujah Harvest. We dressed H up to go and watch J play guitar and sing. He was a ROCKSTAR and adorable. He was wearing a rockstar one piece. He had socks with guitars and slip-on shoes. I gelled his hair into a Mohawk. He had a guitar shaped candy bucket, even though he didn't collect and candy. No picture that I took did it justice; but here are a few.
